ROBEDOOR - Burners - LP
imprec292 - LP - $14.99
Limited edition of 500 copies. The first 100 copies are on color vinyl. Mastered by James Plotkin.
Recorded and mixed from April-September of '09 at the same East L.A. hillside studio ("Green Machine") where RAIDERS was tracked. The goal with BURNERS was to make a record fusing the recent-ish song-based structures of RAIDERS and the PAGAN DRUGS 7" into some of the older-style Robedoor
drone-sprawl architectures. All songs were written/sculpted over the course of constant live shows ("Burning Man" in particular was an '09 live staple).
Like all Robedoor titles Burners is sure to move quickly and when it's gone it's gone.

Free/tribal
percussion spatter 'n clatter duels with endlessly mutating
three chord sludge-riffage beneath thick, poison clouds
of delayed-out vocal groan. Truly CHOCK full of
manic bad-mood energy but maybe psych-droney and resin-soaked
enough for the new crop of crunchier noise-heads to nod
to as well. Electric guitars strung with duct tape
and drums equipped with hundred-year old heads are jettisoned
into deep space and dynamited, combusting so vividly that
the afterimages soak our retinas with mandalas of interwoven
earthworms and beer funnels for hours afterwards.
